Michelle Fahy

Michelle has 15 years experience in education and training and is a member of the Teaching Council in Ireland since 2010. Fundraising, community work and volunteering internationally have all been hugely important to her throughout her career. In 2006 she lived in Alaska where she and her teammates designed and realised programs to meet the needs of people with varying abilities. This experience gave her a deep appreciation for how non-profits seek to improve the quality of life for people, one program at a time. It was a few years later in Denmark studying children at risk when her philosophy began and she feels lucky that through teaching she gets to live her passion, and feels that inspiring learning is her superpower! Michelle believes that students do not care how much she knows, until they know how much she cares, and this for her is the key to learner engagement. She has always been incredibly passionate on the safety and wellbeing of young people and is super-excited to join CyberSafeKids as a trainer.
