Our Talks: For Corporates
We offer several workplace talks to support adults in empowering children to use technology safely. These talks can be also be delivered as workshops to accommodate ‘Lunch & Learns’.
Our aim is to educate parents and caregivers about what children and young people are doing online and offer practical advice, support and resources.
To this end, we've developed the following workshops (45 or 60 mins in duration, including Q&A):
- The Kids Are (Not) Alright: our most popular session focusing on 8-12 year olds. It raises awareness of the main factors to consider around social media, gaming and the online world, explores what children are really doing online and offers practical advice and resources to help empower safer, more positive experiences.
- Teenage Kicks (So) Hard to Beat: aimed at those with or working with teenagers, this session aims to raise awareness of what young people are doing online and the associated risks and safeguards. It provides information and guidance on platforms teenagers use, digital literacy and wellbeing, and the inherent risks of being online.
- Turn and Face The Strange: This session takes a tour through the often baffling world of gaming by covering the positives and negatives of this multi-billion dollar industry. It also looks at the burgeoning industry of AI and its results (e.g., Chat GPT). What questions do these raise for the future of the online world and the development of digital literacy skills?
We also run a CSR programme for organisations to sponsor schools to receive free online safety education sessions.
