our story
Our founders and staff have backgrounds in cybercrime investigation, law enforcement, psychology, education, online child protection, academia and the not-for-profit sector.
We can see on a daily basis how technology plays an increasingly important and integral part of both their present and future lives.
It is being used more and more widely in schools and while we view this as a positive, empowering development, even a standard smartphone can potentially allow a child to take risks which were unthinkable 20 years ago.
We want our children to be able to embrace the opportunities for learning and enjoyment that technology can deliver, but we recognise that as parents and educators we have a responsibility to equip them with the tools to stay safe and avoid harm.
Our Work
What are our areas of focus?
Talks: Schools, Parents, Businesses
Our suite of interactive talks address how both children and adults can navigate the online world and can be delivered in person or via a secure webinar platform.
CyberSafe Tool for Schools
We have designed a free, online self-assessment tool for schools, for you to evaluate your school’s level of cybersafety against best practice.
eLearning
With funding support from Rethink Ireland we have created an interactive, self-paced online course which covers all the major areas of online safety.
Research
CyberSafeKids engages in its own research and is an avid consumer of others’ research on the area of online safety and digital wellbeing of children.
Advocacy
We work with other like-minded organisations when possible to achieve real impact on much-needed policy and legislation related to online safety in Ireland.
OUR MISSION & VALUES
A world in which children are using technology in a safe, positive and successful manner.
Independent
We will value and uphold our independence as an organisation at all times.
Partnership
We will actively build partnership with other key stakeholders involved in addressing cybersafety issues with children. We will not work in isolation.

We will strive to be good stewards of all the resources entrusted to us.
