30k children and 7k teachers and parents – we turned 6 this month!

The first weeks of September is something similar like New Year’s, it always marks new beginnings – the beginning of the new school year, new personal goals and also the beginning of CyberSafeKids. Yes, that’s right, it’s our birthday month and this year we are turning 6!

If you have been with us for a while, you might remember that we actually started as CyberSafeIreland and only turned in to CyberSafeKids in the beginning of 2021. It doesn’t matter since the idea and purpose behind our organisation has always been the same – to empower children, parents and teachers to navigate the online world in a safe and responsible manner.

Over these 6 years our team has been growing and we always have been surrounded by founders and staff members, who have backgrounds in cybercrime investigation, law enforcement, psychology, education, online child protection, academia and the not-for-profit sector and our trainers . With the help of all of these amazing people involved, we have tried to make an impact on as much people as possible by giving both offline and online (As for many other businesses, the unexpected turn of Covid-19 made us rethink our business and switch everything to online) sessions for parents, teachers, children and corporates.

We can with satisfaction say that since 2016, we have spoken to almost 30 000 children aged 8-12 and over 7000 parents and teachers, and we are still counting!

So to anyone, who has been supporting us for some time, we want to say – thank you, we appreciate your support and we are delighted to be sharing our journey together with you.

To anyone interested to educate themselves on online safety, you can book our talk here: www.cybersafekids.ie/our-talks for more information!

Helping you navigate the online world in a stronger, smarted, safer way since 2015!
