Amanda Sweeney

Based in Co. Galway, Amanda holds both a Primary and Master’s Degree in Business Studies. She worked in International Marketing where she saw first-hand how the internet has positively revolutionised the way the world communicates and does business.

After taking some time out to raise her family, Amanda retrained in Adult Literacy and English Language Teaching and currently works in this area part-time.

Amanda is an advocate of the many positive aspects of the internet, particularly in education, but as a mother of three understands the many challenges children and parents face when navigating the ever-changing online world. She is passionate about empowering parents, children and teachers with the correct knowledge and tools to use the internet in a safer, smarter and more responsible way.
