Georgie Cooney

Georgie has been a classroom teacher and a specialist SpLD tutor for over twenty years. She has taught in Ireland, USA, UK and in Mexico where she taught English as an Additional Language.  Georgie has a particular passion and interest in Dyslexia and she has trained adults to teach and understand learners with learning difficulties. She strongly believes that cyber safety is a very important part of education, particularly for those who are more vulnerable in society so she is very excited to join CyberSafeKids.  As well as with us, Georgie currently works with children with dyslexia and other learning needs. She resides in County Cork and has published three books: Who Put the Spell Into Spelling?, Supporting Learners with Fun Rules for Tricky Spellings and From Tragic to Magic – A Phonological Fairy Tale.
