Oonagh McLaughlin

Oonagh is from Dublin. She holds an M.A in Social Policy & Theatre Studies and a post-graduate diploma in Community Arts Education. She has worked in the formal and non-formal educational setting for over 20 years, predominantly as a youth arts worker. She has worked all over the country developing and delivering creative participatory workshops and projects to young people from diverse backgrounds. Oonagh is passionate about the role and importance of creativity in young people’s lives. Through her work and as a mother of a tween, she sees firsthand the increased use and role technology plays in the lives of the young. She is excited to be working with CyberSafeKids to help children and parents navigate technology in an empowering way. As a mother and educator, she wants to create an environment where young people can enjoy the benefits of an online world but in a safe, positive and enriching way.
